I was working a high school dance not too long ago. [For those not familiar, police presence has been required at nearly all school functions since the whole Columbine incident....]

During one segment, I had a pretty hard flashback... I heard Madonna's "Dress You Up in My Love," Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Prince's "I Would Die For You" - of course they were in what's called a Dance Remix (Edited with a hard bass beat inserted)... but the big shocker came after the set.

When the DJ said... (ready for this?) "That was our oldies mix..."

OLDIES!?!?! :o

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW....

Hell with it....most of us used to be able to skate backwards, moonwalk, or spin on our heads...or at least knew someone that could! (I could do 2 out of 3...how about you?)

My sirius satelite radio stays on hair nation almost all the time. But in NWI, there is a radio station at 103.9 I think, that plays what they call classic rock. Which for most of us would be the Doors, Zep, the Stones, stuff from the sixties and seventies. This same station now plays Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Steelheart, etc..... And you know MJ is hurting for money when he lets young bands remake his songs. I'm still waiting for Lita Ford to make a comeback. Heck, the Stones are still touring. And what ever happened to Rick Springfield? Music is life, I could go on about this all day.
